From January 22 to 26, the delegation led by Armenia’s Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan is in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

On January 22, the economy minister attended the business forum hosted by the Embassy of Armenia and the Iran-Armenia Chamber of Commerce. During the forum, Kerobyan presented Armenia’s current and prospective programs for economic development and discussed several issues related to the strengthening of trade relations between Armenian and Iranian businessmen and their investments.

On January 23, Minister Kerobyan started his meetings with top officials and business circles of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The same day, the delegation had meetings with Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade Alireza Razmhosseini and Governor of the Central Bank Abdolnaser Hemmati. A memorandum was signed after the meeting during which several issues related to bilateral economic ties were touched upon.

The Armenian delegation also paid visits to Mammut Industrial Complex and CinnaGen Biotechnical Company.

On January 24, the delegation led by Kerobyan had several meetings in Isfahan, including meeting with Governor Abas Reza, the minister of trade, industry, mines and agriculture of Isfahan and other representatives of business circles, including Armenian businessmen.

The Armenian economy minister and the governor of Isfahan discussed a broad range of issues related to the increase of volumes of trade turnover, the implementation of investment programs and cooperation in the areas of industry, tourism and more.

The Armenian delegation also visited the Holy Savior Monastery and museum in New Julfa.

The meetings continue.
