The Embassy of Armenia in Georgia has issued the following statement:

“Last night after midnight, anonymous people threw stones at Armenian trucks in the vicinity of the Kvemo Ponichala settlement of Georgia, broke the front and side windows of some of them and fled the scene of the incident.

Afterwards, escorted by patrol officers, the truck drivers reached the Georgian-Armenian border and crossed it.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has launched a criminal case regarding this incident.

The Embassy of Armenia in Georgia is in constant touch with the state bodies of Georgia and is working actively to make sure the guilty are brought to justice within the scope of the law and to rule out the repetition of such incidents.”
