Deputy Minister of Justice of Armenia Kristinne Grigoryan today received Deputy Head of the Council of Europe Office in Yerevan Maxime Longangue.

Deputy Minister Grigoryan highly appreciated the cooperation with the Council of Europe and its Office in Yerevan and expressed willingness to continue the cooperation.

Longangue expressed gratitude to the deputy minister for the reception and stressed that the Ministry of Justice is the key partner for implementation of the CoE Office’s reforms programs.

Grigoryan presented the latest developments in the reforms that Armenia is implementing in the judicial-legal sector and anti-corruption field, touched upon the activities for the creation of anti-corruption courts and the Anti-Corruption Committee, reaffirmed Armenia’s commitments in the field of human rights protection and stated that in spite of the difficult times, the Armenian government continues to move forward and implement the actions envisaged by all sector-specific strategies.

At the end of the meeting, the parties also discussed the issues on the agenda for the session of the steering committee to be held within the scope of the Partnership for Good Governance Program and the prospects for cooperation.
