In the Varanda (Fizuli) region, the Azerbaijani side handed over the bodies of 31 more fallen servicemen to the Armenian side, but without providing any information about where these bodies were found, reported the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) State Service for Emergency Situations.
According to preliminary data, these soldiers were reservists.
A forensic medical examination has been ordered to identify these bodies.
To date, 1,318 such bodies have been retrieved, 15 of which, according to preliminary data, are of civilians, whereas the rest are of servicemen, reservists or volunteers who participated in the recent hostilities.
Artsakh rescuers are currently conducting search operations in the Martuni—in the direction of Nerkin Chartar village—, Varanda, and Hadrut regions.
