Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos is demanding $ 1.7 million from Michael Sanchez - the brother of his girlfriend Lauren Sanchez, Bloomberg reported.

Bezos claims this amount as compensation for legal costs due to the leak of information on the businessman's personal life.

Michael Sanchez's lawyer Tom Warren, in turn, noted that "Mr. Bezos’s fee request is obscene, even grotesque, on many levels."

In 2019, Bezos went public with an extortion attempt by the National Enquirer as the agency had threatened to publish more details of his relationship with Lauren Sanchez if he didn’t stop investigating what had prompted the January 2019 expose about their affair while Bezos was still married to MacKenzie Scott.
