The former governor of Armenia’s Aragatsotn Province, Sargis Sahakyan, does not accept the charges brought against him; Sahakyan's attorney Karen Yesayan said this in a conversation with Armenian News-NEWS.am.
"The accusation made is groundless. My client does not accept the accusation made," said the lawyer.
The former governor of Aragatsotn and his ex-MP brother Nairi Sahakyan, from the former ruling Republican Party of Armenia, are charged with misuse and embezzlement.
The petition by the National Security Service to remand them in custody will be considered Wednesday in the Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan.
