Armenia’s Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan today received newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Armenia Aleksandr Konyuk.

The minister congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and expressed certainty that he would contribute to the development and strengthening of Armenian-Belarusian relations with his activities.

Ambassador Konyuk expressed gratitude for the meeting and assured that he would do his best to expand and deepen the cooperation between the Ministries of Justice of both countries. Being a lawyer by profession and the former Prosecutor General of Belarus, the Ambassador asked about the fight against corruption in Armenia and particularly the efforts being made for the creation of the Anti-Corruption Committee.

Minister Badasyan indicated the main points, presented the goals of the creation of the Committee and informed that the Committee will conduct an investigation into corruption crimes, as well as operational intelligence activities.
