US President Joe Biden signed three executive orders on Wednesday to tackle climate change, DW reported.

"Just like we need a unified national response to COVID-19, we desperately need a unified national response to the climate crisis because there is a climate crisis," Biden said.

"We must lead the global response, because neither challenge can be met, as Secretary Kerry has pointed out many times, by the United States alone."

The decrees suggest that the US administration will make environmental issues an integral part of American foreign policy. It is also planned to create a White House internal policy office on climate under the leadership of a climate adviser, as well as a corresponding working group.

Besides, the documents confirm the intention to hold a climate summit with the participation of world leaders on April 22, 2021, to discuss consolidating efforts to reduce harmful emissions into the environment.
