The walls of old buildings have collapsed in Shoghakat (Shorzha) village of Armenia’s Gegharkunik Province, as a result of the recent earthquake; Shoghakat community head Suliko Shushanyan informed about this in a conversation with Armenian News-NEWS.am on Saturday.

"Tremors were felt this morning, too, but they were weak, they were not as strong as yesterday. The walls of old buildings—barns and houses—in the community have collapsed, and, overall, all the houses have been damaged," he said.

The head of the village added that at the moment, the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations ere working in the community, and the joint commission of the provincial and the community halls were assessing the damages.

Earlier we reported that quake measuring magnitude 2 to 3 was registered Saturday in Shoghakat village.

To note, an earthquake was registered in Armenia on Friday, too, its epicenter was in Gegharkunik Province, and it measured magnitude of 6 to 7.
