A freight train loaded with electronic appliances traveled from Ankara to the Russian city of Kaluga via the Kars-Tbilisi-Baku railway line.

According to the Turkish Milliyet, the train in Kaluga was greeted solemnly with a speech by the Ambassador of Turkey to the Russian Federation, who stressed that the newly built Kars-Tbilisi-Baku railway line not only connects Turkey to the Russian Federation, but also serves as a new step for strengthening of friendship between the Turks and Russians.

Milliyet also reports that nearly 4,000 pieces of Beko electronic appliances were transported to the Russian Federation via the first train.
