During today’s question and answer session with government officials in parliament, Armenia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Ara Aivazian said Armenia is facing new challenges due to the new situation.

According to him, the situation is very complicated, and the main goal of the country’s authorities is to strengthen the security environment around Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh. He also admitted that this is a manifestation of geopolitical developments.

Aivazian recalled that security comprises several components, starting from internal stability and ending with various international platforms.

Pinpointing the military exercises held by Turkey and Azerbaijan in Kars, Aivazian stated that they are a cause of concern for the Armenian side.

“Turkey is constantly conveying different messages. This is accepted in diplomacy, but taking into consideration the fact that those messages are from Turkey, it’s time to be guided by actions, not messages,” the minister said.
