The Armenian Second TV Channel has sued the National Commission on Television and Radio (NCTR) of Armenia, as reported the Judicial Information System.

The lawsuit has been inscribed to Judge Grigor Arakelyan of the Administrative Court.

The plaintiff demands annulling the decisions of the NCTR, under one of which (adopted on January 8, 2021) there were 5 slots in the nationwide broadcasting tender for licensing the use of a slot in the public multiplex instead of the previous 6 slots. The plaintiff also demands annulling the decision on recognizing winners of the nationwide broadcasting tender for licensing the use of a slot in the public multiplex and granting licenses to them (adopted on January 15, 2021).

By the January 15, 2021 decision of the NCTR, the Armenian Second TV Channel was deprived of the opportunity for over-the-air broadcasting.
