On February 14 at 11:25 p.m. a citizen called the police of Martuni region of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) and reported that there were shootings near one of the stores located on one of the local streets.

The Police of Artsakh told Armenian News-NEWS.am that, after inspection, police found out that on the same day at around 11:20 p.m., in circumstances that haven’t been disclosed yet, a 25-year-old resident of Martuni fired gunshots at the public food outlet belonging to a 48-year-old resident with an AK-74 rifle, as a result of which residents of Martuni, a 37-year-old resident received a firearm injury in the lower third of his right thigh and a thigh bone fracture and a 27-year-old resident received a firearm injury in the lower third of the right shin and upper third of the left thigh and was transferred to the medical unit of Martuni region with a fracture in the upper third of the large right spire in the right thigh.

Besides, the police officer of the regional police station who had arrived at the scene of the incident had cut wounds on the third and fourth fingers of the right hand when taking the knife from 37-year-old resident A. P.

The prepared materials have been transferred to the Investigative Committee of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).
