The Armenian economy is showing the first signs of post-crisis recovery, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during the Armenian government meeting on Thursday.

According to the data for the first 15 days of February, 604 thousand more transactions were registered.

"And the trade turnover increased by 12% or about 31.4 billion AMD in comparison with the first 15 days of February 2020," he said.

"I would like to remind you that in early February of the previous year, there was no impact of the coronavirus, because there were no COVID-19 cases in Armenia. And in February 2020, a very serious growth was recorded in comparison with February 2019. Export and import volumes also increased significantly in the first 15 days of February. Hence the conclusion - the economy seems to be entering a phase of recovery, and, of course, this is very important news," the PM added.
