The Civil Aviation Committee of Armenia has released a new statement regarding the information that appeared on the Internet about the “hijacking” of a Boeing 737 that is operated by the country.
"The Civil Aviation Committee reports that there were no passengers on board the said plane, and the pilots were foreign nationals.
The flight [of this aircraft] was of a technical nature; the information about the landing is under investigation. The Committee is conducting an inquiry on the unauthorized runway and unauthorized landing. In the interests of the inquiry, the Committee will inform of the final results once the inquiry is completed," the statement reads in part.
