Oil quotes rose on Thursday on expectations of increased demand for fuel, which overshadowed data on an unexpected increase in US oil reserves, Interfax reported.

This morning, April futures for Brent rose in price on the London stock exchange ICE Futures by $ 0.15 (0.22%), to $ 67.19 per barrel. On Wednesday, Brent rose in price by $ 1.67 (2.6%), to the maximum since the beginning of January 2020, to $ 67.04 per barrel.

By this time, April futures for WTI were cheaper at e-trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) by $ 0.04 (0.06%), to $ 63.26 per barrel. During the previous trading session, the contract rose by $ 1.55 (2.5%) to $ 63.22 per barrel. According to Dow Jones Market Data, this is the highest close of trading since January 6 last year.
