The Homeland Salvation Movement—which demands the resignation of Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan—has commenced a rally on Marshal Baghramyan Avenue, outside the National Assembly (NA) building.

The NA will soon hold a question and answer session with the government, which means that Pashinyan will come to the parliament.

The police have already set up a barricade on the street at the side entrance to the legislature. They also have formed a human chain along the gates of the NA building.

On Tuesday, President Armen Sarkissian issued a statement noting that he was not going to sign the decree dismissing Onik Gasparyan from the post of Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, but would not apply to the Constitutional Court on that issue either.

On Wednesday, several representatives of the Homeland Salvation Movement met with the President and urged him to petition to the Constitutional Court on this matter. Sarkissian told them that he will took note of what was said and announce his respective decision later in the day.
