Russia has officially entered Nagorno-Karabakh for a term of five years, but I think it will be in Nagorno-Karabakh forever. This is what member of the Committee on CIS and Relations with Nationals Abroad of the Russian State Duma, MP Konstantin Zatulin said during today’s teleconference, reminding that there are 2,000 Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh.

“I believe that after a while, if the situation develops the way it was developing until now, there will be talks about the reinforcement of the Russian contingent in Syunik Province. I believe this is a requirement so that people don’t leave Armenia. We believe it is important for Armenians to stay on their historic land,” Zatulin said and reminded that Russia reserves itself the right to be present in Armenia with 5,000 soldiers and officers in Gyumri.
