Tiran Khachatryan, former First Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, has appealed to the administrative court to invalidate President Armen Sarkissian's decree on his dismissal. We are informed about this from the DataLex Judicial Information System.

The respective lawsuit was filed with the court on Wednesday.

The Prime Minister's Office and the General Staff of the Armed Forces are included in the case as third parties.

On the basis of PM Nikol Pashinyan's proposal, President Sarkissian dismissed Khachatryan from his aforesaid post by a February 24 decree.

Tiran Khachatryan was sacked for laughing for a long time over Pashinyan's statement about the Russian-made Iskander missile exploding just "10 percent."
