Armenia’s Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan today received Head of Office of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in Armenia Dimitri Gvindadze, who presented the main areas of activities of the EBRD and the operations/projects carried out by the EBRD in Armenia.

The minister presented the short-term and mid-term priorities of the Armenian government in the economic sector and mentioned that modernizing the Armenian economy is one of the government’s key objectives.

The parties exchanged views on public-private partnership, corporate management, the need for development of the capital market, availability of financial resources, etc.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed the course of implementation of joint programs and other prospective directions for partnership and particularly touched upon the development of infrastructures within the scope of green economy. The minister mentioned that the Ministry of Economy is currently working on the implementation of infrastructure projects within the scope of public investments (opportunities to create industrial parks and modernization of water infrastructures).
