Governor of Armenia’s Kotayk Province Mesrop Mesropyan today received the delegation led by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Armenia Jonathan Lacôte.

Mesropyan welcomed the Ambassador’s visit to Kotayk Province and extended thanks to France for always supporting Armenia.

Lacôte and the members of the delegation presented the programs being carried out in Armenia and the possible directions for expansion of cooperation. The parties attached importance to further strengthening and deepening of the cooperation in the areas of economy, tourism and education.

After the meeting, Mesropyana and Lacôte headed to William Saroyan School #1 in Hrazdan which is one of the eleven schools of Armenia where students take advanced French language courses. Lacôte donated French language textbooks to the children. The governor and the Ambassador also checked the children’s knowledge of French.
