The Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) National Assembly on Monday issued a congratulatory message to Armenian women on the occasion of International Women's Day.

"The Armenian woman and mother has always played a special role in families and public life, with her devotion, love and virtuous wisdom, preserving the traditions formed over the centuries.

Standing behind [her] husband and sons, the Artsakh woman has honorably held the title of birth-giver of hero and mother of hero during all three liberation wars.

(…) the homeland needs its strong and resilient daughters,” the message reads in part.
