I have been living for 54 years, and it’s the first time that I am seeing people in Armenia refer to the authorities of the country as ‘traitors’. This is what member of the “Third Power” civic initiative, President of Tovmasyan Charity Foundation Artak Tovmasyan said during the initiative’s representative rally today.

“Basically, it turns out that we Armenians are being governed by traitors. Of course, through manipulation and certain repression or due to certain personal interests, some people don’t see this or seek to pretend that they don’t see this.

The conflict between the opposition and the authorities is escalating, and we’re on the brink of a civil war,” Tovmasyan said, adding that whereas the authorities used to assure citizens that they would definitely resign upon necessity, now they don’t intend to cede.
