The opposition Homeland Salvation Movement will accept the invitation of President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian only if the meeting is held with the agenda proposed by the Movement. This is what coordinator of the Movement, representative of the Supreme Body of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun political party Ishkhan Saghatelyan said during his press conference on Marshal Baghramyan Avenue in Yerevan.

“We don’t know if Armen Sarkissian’s initiative was agreed on with Nikol Pashinyan. The Movement won’t let Sarkissian and Pashinyan enjoy seeing the opposition sit around a table with Pashinyan. If they really want to find ways out of the current situation, we’re ready to meet and discuss our agenda,” he said.

Yesterday President Armen Sarkissian invited the Prime Minister, leaders of parliamentary factions and the leadership of the opposition Homeland Salvation Movement to a meeting on March 13 to discuss the current situation in the country and find mutually acceptable solutions to overcome the crisis. A little while ago, the council of the Movement issued a statement stating that it reaffirms its roadmap for overcoming the crisis and expressed its willingness to hold political consultations with its agenda.
