The OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde completed her working visit to Armenia.

During the trip, Linde noted the importance of making progress in resolving issues in the context of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in compliance with OSCE principles, emphasizing, in particular, the need to comply with international law, including international humanitarian law and human rights.

In this context, Linde highlighted the need to fully implement the tripartite ceasefire declaration of 10 November, including with respect to detainees. She also stressed the need for efforts to build confidence and unhindered access by international actors on the ground.

“As Chairperson-in-Office, I fully support the work of the Co-Chairs of the Minsk Group and my Personal Representative in their efforts to advance peace and contribute to a comprehensive, sustainable settlement. The OSCE and the international community as a whole have an important role to play in dealing with outstanding issues and in finding ways forward,” said Linde
