Leader of the opposition Bright Armenia faction of the National Assembly of Armenia Edmon Marukyan posted the following on his Facebook page:
“A short while ago, I had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and discussed the organizing of snap parliamentary elections. In response to my request to organize the elections in a short period of time, the Prime Minister offered to consider June 20th as the final date for the elections. I stated that holding the elections in a short period of time and not leaving them until the fall or 2023 is in principle. Consequently, I informed that my parliamentary faction accepts June 20, 2021 as the date for the snap parliamentary elections.”
