In connection with the incident, first of all I would like to state that I am against any violence, and I am guided by the principle of resolving issues by civilized methods. The minister of high-tech industry of Armenia, Hakob Arshakyan, wrote this on Facebook, referring to Thursday's incident when he was seen attacking a journalist while he was in a restaurant.

"Every citizen has the right to inviolability of private and family life. Any participant in our society, be it an official or a journalist, is first and foremost a person, has emotions and is sensitive, especially in any matter related to the family.

I would like to apologize to all the citizens present at the incident, to all those whose rest I disturbed by my action.

In the end, I want to note that I am ready to bear accountability in connection with the incident," Arshakyan added.
