Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ara Aivazian today held phone talks with Minister of Foreign Relations of Uruguay Francisco Bustillo Bonasso, the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

The foreign ministers exchanged views on the agenda of the Armenian-Uruguayan cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats, expressed satisfaction with the dynamics of the development of relations hinged on mutual respect and reaffirmed their willingness to take actions to expand and enrich the bilateral agenda. In this context, they attached special importance to the role of the Armenian community of Uruguay.

Aivazian and Bonasso also exchanged views on global and regional security and peace and particularly emphasized the need for protection of human rights during conflicts.
