Heavy rains in southeastern Australia have intensified flooding, as a result of which 18,000 people were evacuated.

The heavy rains, which lasted for several days, caused flooding in the coastal regions of New South Wales.

Eight million people were advised to avoid travel and work from home as much as possible because 25 centimeters of precipitation was recorded in 24 hours in some of the affected areas.
