YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd newspaper of Armenia writes. According to the Zhoghovurd daily’s information, the dawn is not yet peaceful at the General Staff of the Armed Forces.

The thing is that, based on the court decision, many of the 40 generals who joined the statement [demanding the resignation of PM Nikol Pashinyan and his government] by the [then] chief of General Staff Onik Gasparyan, during various conversations expressed the opinion that it cannot continue like this at the MOD, and maybe there will be a parade of resignations in the near future [at the MOD].

At the same time, some of the generals said that there is no alternative any longer, they should stay and continue their [military] service for the sake of the homeland and the army.

As it is known, by the decision of the prime minister, Artak Davtyan was introduced at the MOD as the head of the General Staff, but Onik Gasparyan does not surrender either. In addition to challenging—at court—the decision to dismiss him, he has also submitted a crime report to the Prosecutor General's Office.
