BAKU. - World champion in Wushu and ultimate fighting Miramil Ibrahimli was shot dead in Azerbaijan.

Resident of Mardakan region Chengiz Allahverdiyev seriously wounded Miramil Ibrahimli on Tropikanka beach on June 19. According to some reports, a conflict broke out between Ibrahimli and his friends and the security staff of a recreation centre. When Ibrahimli refused to pay the account, one of the guards opened fire on him. The latter received gunshot wounds in his leg and head and was transferred to hospital, however died of injuries.

Ibrahimli won the title of world champion in ultimate fighting about 20 days ago. The victim was also a champion of Azerbaijan in 2008 competed in Wushu (85 kg), Azerisport reports.
