A fatal road accident occurred Thursday in Kotayk Province of Armenia.

At around 1am, an unidentified car hit six pedestrians in Aramus village and fled the scene, shamshyan.com reported.

Two of them died on the spot, and the four others were injured and taken to Abovyan city hospital.

The police and the investigators are trying to find out the identities of the dead and injured.

A criminal case has been opened.

According to the source, the dead were serving in a military unit, and the injured are also serving in the military unit.

The police and investigators found the driver—Kotayk resident Karen Mikayelyan, 34. It turned out that he was driving under the influence.

Mikayelyan has been detained.
