The State Service for Emergency Situations of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) reports that commander of the operative group of the Special Subdivision for Rapid Reaction of the Rescue Forces Department of the Service T. H. received an injury from a mine explosion at midday during search operations conducted in the Jrakan region (Kend Horadiz station), which is currently out of the control of Artsakh.

As a result, T. H.’s right foot was injured. Azerbaijani soldiers provided first aid on the spot, after which the search operations group transferred him to the Republican Medical Center in Stepanakert.

Doctors say his life isn’t at risk. He is currently undergoing a surgery.

This is already the third case recorded during search and rescue operations following the truce. The first incident took place in the direction of Vorotan where officers from Armenia received injuries after a mine explosion, and the other incident took place in the Talish-Mataghis sector. Fortunately, no deaths were recorded.
