During his visit to Armenia, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will meet with Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan; this is noted in a statement issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
It is added that Lavrov will be in Armenia on Wednesday and Thursday.
He will hold talks also with acting Foreign Minister Ara Aivazian.
The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that the Russian FM’s current visit to Armenia is a continuation of the Armenian-Russian political dialogue aimed at strengthening multilateral and bilateral cooperation and promoting peace and stability in the region.
The Russian Foreign Ministry pointed to the development of interparliamentary ties, too, and informed about the respective expected visit of National Assembly speaker Ararat Mirzoyan to Moscow. The Russian Foreign Ministry said in its statement that this visit will take place between May 16 and 18.
