The speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, will pay an official visit to Moscow, from May 16 to 18; this is noted in a statement issued Wednesday by the Russian Foreign Ministry.

"Interparliamentary ties [between Russia and Armenia] are developing. On April 24, a delegation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation attended the commemoration events in Yerevan devoted to the [106th anniversary of the] genocide of the Armenian population during the years of the First World War. The official visit of the president of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, to Moscow is scheduled for May 16-18," the statement reads.
