YEREVAN. – At around 8pm on Tuesday, Private Artyom Melkonyan, a 19-year-old conscript, sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head at the combat position of a military unit, and as a result of a fellow serviceman’s violation of the rules of handling weapons, the Investigative Committee of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
A criminal case has been launched into this incident.
An investigation is underway.
