The aim of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s visit to Armenia is to intensify the discussions on the restart of the negotiations over the Nagorno-Karabakh issue. This is what acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ara Aivazian said in response to MPs’ questions in parliament today.

Touching upon the negotiations over the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Aivazian noted that there are signs of revival of the OSCE Minsk Group and that there is hope for a strong mediation mission.

According to him, the Armenian side anticipates the leadership of the OSCE Minsk Group in the process of negotiations.
