There are still no talks about the official demarcation of the border with Azerbaijan. This is what acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ara Aivazian said in response to MPs’ questions during today’s question-and-answer session with government officials.

According to him, the issue of demarcation and delimitation of the border will only be set forth when diplomatic relations are established with Azerbaijan and when a joint commission is set up to agree on the approaches to demarcation.

“The current movements of soldiers is only for security considerations and aren’t linked to demarcation,” the acting foreign minister explained, adding that the national commission on demarcation is already set up.
