In 2020, Armenia recorded 26,468 crimes, and compared with 2019, the number of crimes has dropped by 382. This is what Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan said in parliament, during the latter’s discussion on the annual report on the activities carried out by the Prosecutor General’s Office in 2020.
According to him, studies show that the reduction of the number of crimes in Armenia is generally linked to the reduction of the number of crimes against private properties and economic activities.
“Nevertheless, even though the number is insignificant, the number of crimes against public order, safety and health grew in 2020,” Davtyan said.
