The case regarding leader of Prosperous Armenia Party Gagik Tsarukyan isn’t closed and will be investigated for a long time. This is what Prosecutor General of Armenia Artur Davtyan said in parliament while delivering the report of the Prosecutor General’s Office on the activities carried out in 2020.

Davtyan particularly refuted the statements that Tsarukyan’s case is closed.

“The case is still being investigated since it concerns criminal schemes that were implemented by thousands of people. Therefore, it will be investigated for a long time,” Davtyan clarified.

Leader of Prosperous Armenia Party Gagik Tsarukyan, who is the largest businessman in Armenia, is charged with avoiding particularly large amounts of taxes, as well as bribing voters and embezzling large plots of land.
