About 550 people who took part in the protests in Colombia are listed as missing, reports TASS.

According to the ombudsman's office, 548 people disappeared from April 28 to May 7. 

The death toll during protests and riots has risen to 26.

Demonstrations against tax reform have been taking place in Colombia since April 28. Riots took place in Bogota, Cali, Medellin, and other cities. More than 1,000 people were injured.

Later, the government agreed to amend the reform plans, Finance Minister Alberto Carrasquilla resigned, but the protests continued.
