The vaccines against COVID-19 from the British-Swedish company AstraZeneca and Janssen of the American company Johnson & Johnson (J&J) should not be used in the Norwegian vaccination program. This recommendation was made on Monday by a government group of experts on viral vector vaccines, TASS reports referring to NRK TV channel.

Norway has yet to start using the Janssen vaccine, which was approved in the EU and kingdom on March 11th. The decision was based on the fact that possible side effects - the formation of blood clots - require further study.

The use of the AstraZeneca vaccine was suspended in Norway on the same day, March 11, following reports of blood clots and bleeding disorders in vaccinated people. The Norwegian Public Health Agency, like the expert group, advocates that the vaccine be completely excluded from the vaccination program.
