The Human Rights Defender of Armenia has sent the speeches by the President of Azerbaijan attesting to the policy of Armenophobia and hostility to the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance, the United Nations and Council of Europe Commissioners for Human Rights and several other international bodies via official letters, as reported the Office of the Human Rights Defender of Armenia.

This time, it concerns the speeches that the President of Azerbaijan gave in April 2021.

In the speeches sent to the international organizations, the President of Azerbaijan speaks in the language of force and threats and uses words that degrade all Armenians and the populations of Armenia and Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), words that are intimidating, spark tension in Armenian society, and in his speeches, the President underscores the advantages of the Azerbaijani people.

This process launched by the Human Rights Defender will be ongoing (the speeches and messages of the President of Azerbaijan are particularly monitored).

The aim of the Human Rights Defender of Armenia is to show the Azerbaijani authorities’ genocidal policy, which is the reason for gross violations of human rights, poses a serious threat for new cruelties and puts peace and security at risk.
