Moscow looks forward to signing memoranda in the biosecurity sector with all countries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). This is what Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Maria Zakharova said during today’s briefing, TASS reports.

According to her, one of the key elements is the formation of an appropriate contractual-legal field with the countries of the CSTO and CIS. “For this purpose, Russia is pursuing the conclusion of bilateral intergovernmental memoranda with the countries of the mentioned organizations to ensure biosecurity. We look forward to signing such documents with all the states,” the diplomat said, adding that memoranda have been concluded with Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Armenia and that these memoranda will be a weighty contribution to the strengthening of friendly ties with the signing parties and biosecurity.
