Acting Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan on Friday formally appealed to President Emomali Rahmon of Tajikistan, current chair of the CSTO Collective Security Council, to implement—under Article 2 of the Collective Security Treaty—the mechanism of immediate initiation of consultations in order to coordinate the positions of the CSTO member states and take measures to eliminate the threat that has been posed.

On the same day, the Acting Prime Minister of Armenia has sent letters also to the leaders of other CSTO member states, and with detailed information on the above-mentioned, as well as on the current situation.
