YEREVAN. - Acting Foreign Minister of Armenia Ara Aivazian on Friday had a telephone conversation with CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas. Armenian News-NEWS.am learned about this from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.
The interlocutors continued the discussions on the situation on Armenia’s state border since Wednesday, and the steps being taken to resolve this matter.
Also, the acting FM informed the CSTO chief that letters had been sent on behalf of the Armenia’s Acting Prime Minister to the President of Tajikistan—current chair of the CSTO Collective Security Council—and to the members of this council in order to implement the consultative procedure provided for under Article 2 of the CSTO treaty.
They exchanged views on further processes envisaged by this procedure.
