The international community is responsible for ensuring the security of Palestinian civilians, Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Sunday at an emergency meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), TASS reported.

According to him, an important part of this responsibility lies with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. Cavusoglu noted the need to start work on the creation of an international mechanism for the protection of Palestinian civilians in accordance with the resolution of the UN General Assembly adopted in June 2018. 

According to Cavusoglu, the time has come for unity and determination in the Palestinian issue.
