The Israeli Air Force last night attacked 40 targets of Hamas in Gaza overnight, TASS reported.
During the 25-minute raid, 52 Israeli fighter-bombers used approximately 120 precision-guided munitions.
Palestinian radical groups in the Gaza Strip and the Israeli army have been exchanging strikes since May 10. The rocket attacks followed riots at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in East Jerusalem, following an Israeli court order to seize homes in Sheikh Jarrah from Arab families living there.
According to the latest data from the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the death toll has exceeded 230, including 217 in Gaza. On the Israeli side, at least 12 people were killed.
