Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has scheduled the government's meeting on Thursday to discuss security issues, TASS reports citing Channel 13 of Israeli TV.

According to the TV channel, during the meeting, the expediency of continuing the operation in the Gaza Strip and the possibility of a ceasefire will be discussed.

Palestinian radical groups in the Gaza Strip and the Israeli army have been exchanging strikes since May 10.

The rocket attacks followed riots at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in East Jerusalem following an Israeli court order to seize homes in Sheikh Jarrah from Arab families living there.

According to the latest data, more than 250 people were killed on the Palestinian side, and at least 12 on the Israeli side.
