STEPANAKERT. – The search has resumed for the remains of the Armenian servicemen who fell during the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) war, the Artsakh State Service of Emergency Situations informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
The search operations are conducted Monday in the Varanda (Fizuli) region now under Azerbaijani control.
The search was suspended since May 4.
The total number of such remains found, or transferred by Azerbaijan, in the territories now outside Artsakh jurisdiction after the ceasefire is 1,553—and 27 of them, according to preliminary data, are of civilians.
